Use a compatible wire  

If your REPEATER is not recognized by the app, verify that you are using a micro-USB wire that enable data transmission (OTG). 

Verify the position of the smartphone adapter   

If you use the android app with your smartphone, you must verify that you put the micro-USB convertor on the smartphone side and not on the REPEATER.

Verify that the Micro-USB component on the REPEATER is not damaged  

If the micro-USB has been plugged strongly or crookedly, it could be possible that the component is damaged or unsoldered of the circuit board.
