This tutorial focuses on configuring an overflow and leakage threshold alarm for a Dry Contact sensor (ARF8230) in LoRaWan and SIGFOX via the IoT Configurator.
The product detects when an overflow or leakage threshold is exceeded for each metering input. The parameters associated with this operating mode are :
- Activation and configuration of inputs (register S320)
- Anti-bounce timer period (S322 registers)
- Flow calculation period (register S325)
- Channel A and B alarm thresholds (register S326 and S327)
- Leakage thresholds for channels A and B (S328 and S329)
- Zero flow period meters for channels A and B (S330 and S331)
Example for the overflow threshold :
In this example, the Pulse inputs (S320, S322 and 325) are configured by default.
- Channel A alarm thresholds (register S326) = 100 pulses
- Channel B alarm thresholds (register S327) = 500 pulses
The product will send a single 0x47 alarm frame if the number of pulses exceeds 100 imp/H for channel A and 500 imp/H for channel B.
There is no new transmission if the flow rate rises above the threshold as long as the alarm remains active.
The alarm is automatically deactivated after the daily frame has been sent.
The rate corresponds to the number of pulses in the rate calculation period divided by the same period. It is expressed in pulses/hour.
Example for the leakage threshold :
In this example, the Pulse inputs (S320, S322 and 325) are configured by default.
- Leakage thresholds for channels A and B (S328 and S329) = 100
- Zero flow period counters channel A and B (S330 and S331) = 1
Leak detection is performed by analysing a number of occurrences (register: S330 and S331) where the calculated flow rate is less than a leak threshold (register: S328 and S329).
The associated leak alarm is memorised and transmitted with the next daily frame 0x30; it is automatically deactivated after the daily frame has been transmitted.
The rate corresponds to the number of pulses in the rate calculation period divided by the same period. It is expressed in pulses/hour.
Both functions can be configured and used at the same time
