Periodic configuration of Temp/Delta P/Comfort/Comfort Serenity

Modified on Thu, 30 Jan at 3:40 PM

This tutorial focuses on periodic configuration with and without sensor logging:

  • Temp (ARF8180) et Temp2S (ARF8181)
  • Delta P (ARF8283)
  • Comfort (ARF8275)
  • Comfort SERENITY (ARF8373)

These products are used to read and periodically transmit various environmental values (humidity, temperature, pressure delta, etc.).

These different types of sensor are the subject of the same tutorial because they use the same operation and the same parameter-setting registers.

Once your sensor is connected to the IoT configurator, open the ‘APPLICATIVE CONFIG’ section and then ‘General configuration’.

For periodic transmission, the parameters associated with this operating mode are :

  • Sampling period (S321)
  • Historization frequency (S320)
  • Transmission frequency  (S301)

For a transmission with history :

The products allow the accumulation of several successive values before the periodic transmission of all of them.

  • The product saves the values every 10 minutes (300 x 2sec = 600)
  • The product logs the value each time it is saved (600 x 1)
  • The product transmits the values every 6 backups, i.e. once an hour (6 x 1 x 600 = 3 600 secs)

For transmission without logging :

The product allows values to be measured and transmitted periodically each time it is saved.

Simply set register 301 (Transmission frequency) to 1, and the product will send a periodic frame every 10 minutes (1 x 1 x 300 x 2 sec = 600 secs).
