Periodic configuration of Pulse/Pulse ATEX (ARF8230)

This tutorial focuses on the periodic configuration with and without logging of a Pulse and Pulse ATEX sensor (ARF8230) in LoRaWan and SIGFOX via IoT Configurator.

The product enables pulse inputs to be counted and counter values to be transmitted periodically.

Once your sensor is connected to the IoT configurator, open the ‘APPLICATIVE CONFIG’ section and then ‘General configuration’.

For periodic transmission, the parameters associated with this operating mode are :

• Transmission frequency (S301)
• Sampling period (S321)

For a transmission with history:

The product allows several successive counter values to be accumulated before all the values are transmitted periodically.  

• The product saves the indexes every hour (1800 x 2 secs)
• The product transmits indexes every 12 backups, i.e. twice a day (12 x 1800 x 2 = 43,200 secs).

For transmission without logging :

The product enables pulse inputs to be counted and counter values to be transmitted periodically.

Simply set register 301 (Transmission period) to 1, and the product will send a frame every hour with an index value per channel (1 x 1800 x2 sec = 3600 secs).
